Two journalists cam erounais incarcerated in March along Ngota Bibi, who died in detention, were released Wednesday on the orders of President Paul Biya.

In August and September, Robert Mintier had been admitted to the Yaounde Central Hospital before being transferred to hospital Jamot, a company specialized in the management of psychiatric problems.
The National Union of Journalists of Cameroon "strongly welcomed" release in a statement. regretting "that intervenes only today (Wednesday) after a very long period of detention without trial [...] whatever the real motive and / or cyclical " .
The investigation into the death of Bibi Ngota had mentioned a death due "opportunistic infections" related to the AIDS virus enraging Cameroonian doctors and family . They say he died for not having received appropriate treatment for his hypertension and hernia.
Ngota Bibi's brother also accused the Directorate General for Research of having external tortured in February, had excluded the Department of Justice.
